This is my first photo mosaic. I used the Flickr Toys option and uploaded my vacation photos to the mosaic. I think it's pretty cool. So this is a little taste of the Vineyard-Martha's Vineyard to be exact. We saw some gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs, lighthouses in Edgartown and Aquinnah, and even an alpaca farm. It was a whirlwind visit, just 3 days but jam packed with food, fun and friends and it was the best weather of the Summer. I already want to go back!!

Back from the Vineyard
Minggu, 24 Agustus 2008
You may notice my blog looks a little odd. I tried to change the dashboard and all of sudden my old posts disappeared. The photos remained but all my words of wisdom are gone. I am tryng to figure out the problem so please bear with me!
So I just spent the most wonderful few days on the island of Martha's Vineyard which is off the coast of Massachusetts. For me, it's a two hour drive and then a 35 minute ferry ride so it's very manageable. I went with 3 friends and we had a fabulous time.
We went for Illumination Night which takes place once a year in August in Oak Bluffs. You know those gingerbread cottages you see in travel ads? Well, those cottages are illuminated with paper lanterns for just one evening. The area becomes a wonderland of light. It is incredibly beautiful, actually it's magical. First, there's a band concert with a group sing and then the illumination. I have a post illumination photo for you.
Still concerned about my blog so i won't go on and on about the trip. But I promise to continue to post photos of the rest of the trip's highlights (Vineyard Haven, Edgartown, Aquinnah) real soon.
Thanks for your patience!
Hidden Pond Cottages
Selasa, 22 Juli 2008
For my birthday this year, my friend Kim took me to Kennebunkport, Maine to see the designer showhouse cottages at Hidden Pond. There were 12 cottages and we saw almost all of them each one decorated in it's own unique style. Some were quite traditional beach houses with hydrangeas ans sea shells. Others used natural elements. All of them were inspiring and we came away with great ideas for our own homes.
After the tour, we found a little restaurant in Biddeford Pool and we had fried shrimp rolls and
fries as we sat in Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean. A perfect day!
