Nothing Makes a House Cozier Than Cats

"Nothing makes a house cozier than cats", this quote by Gladys Taber is so true. Well for me anyway. I love coming home to my two furbabies. They greet me at the door when I come home.

Molly will be purring so loudly I can hear her the minute I open the door before I even see her. Oscar will hang back a little. He's more cautious, probably from being a street kitty in his former life.



I'm home for the weekend, no big plans to take me away from home for any length of time. So we'll probably hang out on the sofa at some point. As you can see from the first photo, Oscar has already claimed his cushion.

Morning Rituals

We all have our morning routines and Molly and Oscar have theirs too. Actually none of us like mornings. But once we are awake...



and I mean when we are really awake and ready to set foot or paw out of bed, we head to the bathroom.



Molly immediately heads to the sink so she can have that first drink of water of the morning. That first sip is nirvana.



Oscar likes to get out of bed and then go right to his next place of rest. He usually likes the ledge by the shower where he can nap on the towel I want to use for my shower.



Molly demands chin scratches while she sits on the toilet.



The bathroom ritual is over and on to the next ritual, the morning confrontation.

Just hanging out with the Kits

It's a beautiful Saturday morning. Peaceful, on the warm side but with a cool breeze. The sun has been out for two straight days!



I opened one window in the kitchen. Oscar discovered it first. One cat, one open window.



Then Molly noticed the window. One open window, two cats. Is she bowing at his feet?




She wants the window to herself. She wants him OUT!



She may act non-chalant but she wants him gone from that window.
